What we stand for.
Countless hours of tying flies and days rowing skiffs, all built a standard of excellence that we will simply not deviate from. Our mission is to provide a connection to the water, build better anglers, and be a standard of resource conservation for east Tennessee. We simply live vicariously through the people who fish with us and seek to extend the level of their ability.
Who we are.
Chattanooga on the Fly was founded in 2022 by Chase Pritchett and his wife Misty. A north Ga native , Chase guided east TN, north GA, and western NC for 20 years and has developed a standard of excellence that can be appreciated on the water with him. Misty is is a 20 year veteran in education and runs the day to day business throughout our busy season. Our mission is to provide a connection to the water, build better anglers, and be a standard of resource conservation for east Tennessee. We are local professionals who do this full time. The only side gig is fishing. Our attention to detail surpasses anything else we do. As fly fishing guides, the only thing more important is family.

Where we fish.
Our home base is Chattanooga, TN and the water we target is both Chickamauga, Nickajack, and Watts Bar lakes on the Tennessee river.
Target Species.
We pride ourselves in being a warm-water guide service. Our list of species varies throughout the season. At the beginning of the year during winter, we target mainly Smallmouth. Moving into spring we spend a few weeks specifically fishing for Striped bass and then prespawn Smallmouth. As summer arrives, Smallmouth bass and Largemouth are on the agenda. These can be the most exciting days of the year throwing poppers and seeing some explosive eats throughout the day. Additionally, we will target common and buffalo carp which can be perfect for those who seek a challenge. That continues into late summer when the White bass show up and we also get another shot at late season Striped bass on the surface!
